Private Insurance Companies
If the child has symptoms of autism and is not yet formally diagnosed, some families choose to pay from their pocket to access ABA therapy while waiting for OAP funding. Behaviour Avenues Inc can provide services that could be billed under Private insurance companies for Registered Social Workers: “mental health, psychotherapy, or counseling”.
Urgent Response Service
If your child is demonstrating challenging behaviours such as aggression, self-injurious behaviour, property destruction or other problematic behaviours that are impacting their quality of life, your child can be eligible for 12 weeks of intensive behaviour therapy through the Urgent Response Service program launched in April 2022.
Behaviour Avenues is an approved service provider for the Urgent Response Service.
